feeling a little lighter

i looove my scrapppy-do pup but he was due for his summer cut. ta-da! here he is sporting the "schnauzer" look with a little variation that i like to call "shaggy ears." i requested that the kind folks @ the groomer's leave them that way. hope you feel better, little guy :)

it's a bird, it's a plane...

...it's super carm! ruben and cj were playing and he decided to give her a "cape." cj thought this was fun and ran around wearing it last night as she played. i love my super girl :)

field day with little carlos

team rod cheered on little carlos today, his school had field day - man, made me miss being a kid :) it was overcast and breezy, thankfully not too muggy. the kids looked like they were having so much fun. we love you carlos, great job today!

how cj's dad dresses her for bed...

*shaking head* when questioned, ruben answered, "it's warm enough for no top, i thought pajama bottoms were enough." i decided this was fine. i guess if i had to choose i would go for the bottoms too. reason being, cj is pretty much like clockwork when it comes to doing her "business" in the morning before i retrieve her from her crib. as some of you may know there was the incident when beans had only a sleep shirt on and thus decided to remove her diaper. this led to a massive sheet and blankie washing as well as an immediate trip to the tub. not only did this happen once, but twice. i sure as heck don't want to go for a third :)

a darn good little monday...

and not one pic to share! ah! my bad... i will just throw in a random pic of beans :) anyhoo, it was such a nice day. everyday has its pleasantries, but this one was especially nice. team rod headed over to the farmers market where we picked up some veggies, produce and a few potted plants. then we trekked over to do a couple more errands and headed home. i finally planted the flowers in the empty pots that have been sitting around all lonely like. cj took herself a marathon nap so i spent quite a bit of time outside and helped rube with the pool. the weather finally is heating up (i will be kicking myself for saying that by the time the august heat hits us!) so hopefully we shall enjoy the water this week!

a trip to doctor ernie

cj had her 12 month appointment last week, she weighed in at 21.3 pounds and measures 30" tall. my sweetie baby was not pleased with her shots, but hey, who really enjoys that?















such a sad face! every time cj would look at her thumb with the cute hello kitty band-aid on it she started to cry!
