I found this picture from an old post and of course reminisced about those newborn days... Beans was about 5 weeks old when I took her to the Dallas Zoo for the first time - here we are in the same spot with the flamingos...

We were happy to see the rain subside after this mornings showers and so on we headed to the Dallas Zoo. (Mucho thanks to J&K for letting us use their zoo members pass!)

We didn't see as many animals as I had anticipated but we still had a fun little trip. Carms loved looking at the birds and monkeys the most, doing her great animal impressions. I was disappointed we didn't see any tigers, oh well - maybe next time.

Carmen dug the kiddie area soooo much. The little water streams and playground were so nice and it was especially nice that it wasn't crowded :)

Carmen the Meanie

Victor picked up Carmen's shoes the other day and politely pointed to his feet so I let him give them a whirl. Oblivious and occupied with something else, we knew it was only a matter of time until Little Miss "Mine!" caught wind of her shoes being enjoyed by someone else...



*sigh* She is definitely TWO.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! *insert grito here*

Our Healthy Girl!

We paid a visit this morning to Dr. Ernie's, it was time again for a shot and some blood work, yeow! (As we were leaving, Carmen kept telling me she had a "boo-boo." So sad!) I spoke to Dr. Ernie about cj's eating habits, and how they are still lacking. He commented that she is growing and gaining weight and to just make sure we keep giving her the good stuff and not too much junk. A no brainer - whew. Also, she grinds her teeth, which is just weird! He mentioned she is old enough for a trip to the dentist and that it's something she will probably outgrow.

When we went to check-out I looked at the the stats sheet they always give us and was happy to see she won't have any more immunizations until she is 3! Yay!

Carmen's Stats:
Height - 34" tall 55th percentile
Weight - 27 lbs 55th percentile

Later in the day we took The Carmenator to use her Build-A-Bear gift card

She picked a cat, no surprise there. However she wasn't so sure about it being unstuffed!

Then we stopped at Braums
