Eesh, I've been really bad about posting!

Ok, so I'm hoping to be back on track with the posting, I took a little break because things were busy, busy last week.

The book club had a great meeting on Thursday night. Good discussion, good food, and good company. I'm ready to tear into the next book!

Friday... Let's see, what the heck did we do?! Oh yes, during the day my job threw me a really nice baby shower. Carmen Jules got so much stuff! It was very nice and thoughtful, I had a really nice time. After work we met Cindy, Christie, and Lisa at Big Shucks for an early dinner, it was SO delish! Love the shrimp cocktail! After that Ruben had an appt. and I headed to ladies bunko, I had to leave early though :( I wonder which gal won this time?!

Saturday we slept in a little and Ruben was off to another appointment. I hung around and did house stuff. Once Ruben was back we had a great afternoon/evening of errands. Got lots done to the nursery, it is looking so nice! We were up late again, we watched a DVD and hit the sack around 2ish.

Sunday we actually made it to Mass! We talked to the priest about baptizing our little one. (I really like Fr. Josef, he worked with me at the Diocese until just recently when he was assigned to St. Patrick's parish.) We did the grocery store run, another trip to babies r us and then went to visit some familia. Good times :)

Flamin' Hots!

Tuesday just came and went like nothin'! Got home from work and made shrimp scampi and salad, it was goooood. Ruben worked for awhile doing the usual evening calls, and then we went to run a couple of errands. We headed to Home Depot and then to our home away from home, Target! We exchanged Baby Beans' stroller and picked up a few other items. For some reason I have been seriously craving hot cheetos, I don't know what it is. I had been thinking about them since the weekend. On my way home I munched on my chips, dang they were good. And just to share, fyi, baked cheetos taste exactly like the regular cheetos :)

Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Monday's...

Back to another work week! Work was the usual, yadee-yadee. After I got home I started dinner early. Ruben was home earlier than usual so he worked for awhile making his calls and then we took a break to eat sloppy joe's. (made with ground turkey, yum!) Later, Ruben ventured out to the backyard to pull some weeds, it was looking pretty bad! The rest of the evening I folded a ton of baby clothes and baby blankets and got all of that put away. After cleaning up a bit I hit they hay early. A non-eventful Monday but a great day nonetheless!

Shower time!!!!

On Sunday my wonderful famliy threw me a baby shower. My sister-in-law, Krystal, works for the Fairmont hotel and we had the shower there in one of the suites. I had such a great time, it was so nice to see a few people I hadn't seen in awhile! My sil's did a fabulous job, the decorations, food and games were awesome. Carmen Jules got so much stuff! When we got home and unloaded all the gifts I went through everything and got busy organizing!

Later in the evening Ruben and I were off to our DLD meeting (dallas latino democrats) and then we had dinner. We got home and did more organizing of the baby's room, and then it was off to bed!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Saturday I woke up bright and EARLY to meet my sister-in-laws for breakfast. I had told them I wanted to do something to thank them for all their hard work on the planning of my baby shower. We went to Cafe Brazil and gabbed it up! I then went with Ana (one of my sil's) to do an errand. Ruben and I didn't get to go to the parade, darn it! It looked like so much fun! In the afternoon my Mom, nephew, my Aunt Evelyn and her friend John, came to visit. We went to lunch and hung out for awhile. After they left, Ruben worked from home for a bit and I helped him get his mounds of paperwork organized, there is still lots to do with that! AH! Later we ran errands and then went to walk around Northpark for awhile where we had dinner. We headed over to Bertha's (one of ruben's sisters) to get his haircut and hung out. We ended up getting home around midnight. Tired again!!

TGIF!

I'm playing catch up with my posts! Friday was a great day, I took a personal day off work and did things around the house. For dinner, Cindy, Ruben and I went to Sushi Zushi for dinner. The restaurant was so nice and the food was great. We headed home and later a couple of Ruben's sisters came over to hang out. We were up pretty late, by the time we went to bed my head hit the pillow and I slept SO good!

Thursday stuff...

Lovely, lovely Thursday. Today was very nice, got lots of work done at the office and had a fabulous Wendy's lunch with Cindy. I'm diggin' the grilled chicken sandwich and baked potato with sour cream. A diet coke tops it off deliciously :)

Heather was a great hostess tonight! Jen, Kel and I spent a few hours gabbing it up at her house. It was very relaxing!
